Natomas Basin Levee Maintenance Project

Description of Work: The project consists of (1) removal of high-hazard encroachments (non-compliant groundcover, bushes, shrubs, trees) for up to thirty-nine (39) privately-owned waterside properties along the Garden Highway in the Natomas Basin; (2) mowing of grasses and removal of miscellaneous vegetation along the landside slope of American River North Levee (Garden Hwy) between Interstate 5 and Northgate Avenue and along landside and waterside slopes of Natomas Cross Canal South Levee between Highway 99 and Garden Highway, for a total of 28,500 linear feet; (3) vegetation clearing, tree trimming, and debris removal along the waterside slope of the Garden Highway starting near Sankey Road (upstream limit) for up to 7,000 linear feet towards Riego Road (downstream limit).

Plan Cost: $20.00 (non-refundable). Contract documents and construction specifications are available at the offices of Reclamation District No. 1000 as of April 23, 2024. Please call prior to arrival to ensure a hard copy is available for pickup.

Mandatory Pre-Bid: No pre-bid meeting. All questions can be delivered by email or phone to the contact persons below.

Bid Opening: Eligible bidders who wish to submit a bid may drop off bids at the RD 1000 office (1633 Garden Highway, Sacramento CA 95833-9706) by Monday, May 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at which time the bids will be publicly opened in person.
