Board of Trustees Election

The Election of Trustees of Reclamation District No. 1000 (District) is governed by the California Water Code Section 50730 et seq. Elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in each even-numbered year.

The District's seven Board members serve in staggered 4-year terms.  At present, three of the Board seats are designated as "parcel seats." In parcel seat elections, each landowner voter is assigned one vote per parcel seat. The other four Board seats are designated "land assessment seats." In land assessment seat elections, each voter is assigned weighted votes based on the amount of that parcel's most recent District Operations & Maintenance assessment. Qualified Board members must be landowners or legal representatives of landowners, and must live in the District.
